I have a love of telling stories. Scripting, filming, editing, grading and the application of fx allows me to do just that. The story could be anything, perhaps it could be why a person should be buying your products or using your services!

Channel 1 Creative Media Promo

A promotion I edited whilst working for Channel 1 Creative Media. The promo was made from over 10 years of footage on the Channel 1 servers. The challenge here was finding the best footage to use as the guys at Channel 1 had so much to choose from:)
The footage that was captured over the years was filmed on different cameras, with different colour space and aspect ratios; so it was essential for the colour grade of the footage to be optimal across the board.

An extended web promo I produced for Flaunt Design, a Melbourne based furniture upholstery and design business. The advertisement is a "one watch" promo that aims to showcase the quality of the business's workmanship. Presenting the artisan at work, the customer is given an intimate and rememberable insight to the creation of a project to its completion.

Drones away!

To add to my production tool set I recently bought a drone. Here is an edit to showcase the capabilities of the drone. It was filmed in the Hawthorn drains.
The accompanying music is from the band Calexico off their album Hot Rail. I thought it would work nicely with the footage to create a mysterious ambience as the footage slowly reveals what there is to see.

The Counterfeit Gypsies

A live performance of The Counterfeit Gypsies, shot and edited by myself and Christopher Winsor. Largely pieced together from shots from a number of songs played over the night, attempting to create the illusion it was all shots of the one song. The Swing

"The Swing" is a short and surreal sequence that showcases a number of videography and post production techiques essential to creating professional and engaging cinematics. A short depth of field is combined with a dreamy colour grade and repetitive motion to create a hypnotic and ambigious setting further offset by the haunting music of Michael Andrews.
